In an Alternate Dark Age Epic Fantasy series, Thaddeus of Beewicke must surrender his Belief and, therefore, his Sorcerous power in order to defeat his otherwise immortal enemies, as nothing more than a common man.

Greetings Book Club Members!

Does your Book Club enjoy fantasy …as in EPIC FANTASY?  Where new worlds are created and all elements of an author’s imagination are brought to the storytelling to unfold chapter by chapter? And, in this author’s case, accompanied by a most snarky mule going by the name, Asullus.

Years ago … as in many years ago … I thought it would be great fun to create stories centered around a young lad, his friends and their ladies who would have magical powers and be mentored by Master Sorcerers offering guidance and wisdom. But, as they go to face all manner of daemons, dragons and generally bad people, I thought of a twist.

Ahh … what if one of the group had to surrender the very Sorcerous gifts he had been given, thus losing all of his Powers, or, as a result of refusal, know he would face a painful, lingering and absolute death? And, should he attempt to thwart this destiny, he would be compelled–with no recourse—to give up anyone and anything he ever cared about and loved?

This was in the long past and well before any wayward English Wizards with porcine verrucae entered the scene. So, these ideas kept bubbling around and finally, some 25 years ago, I put fingers to keyboard. What evolved turned out to be enough ideas to fill nine books. To date, seven have been published. The other two are in final editing, waiting for their official debut.

As well as writing, I enjoy sharing my stories and my thoughts on those stories. And that’s where book clubs become the perfect landing spot. As my schedule allows, I would be pleased to participate in person with your group… that is, if you lie anywhere near the Milwaukee-Chicago corridor.  Or, there is always the ZOOM Challenge where we can share a virtual glass of a favorite vintage while we talk. To that point, I’ve created a series of questions that can be used as beginning points for Book Club member discussions. The link can be found below, as well as in the back of each  published book.

If you have interest,
E-mail me at  AuthorLouisSauvain@gmail.com
or call 414-248-0427 to start a conversation and set up a date for our date.
P.S. There is, of course, my “string attached”—all in the club should be book buyers
of the book title we will be discussing. Either in print, eBook, or through Libby.

BOOK CLUB LEADERS ...

Contact Louis Sauvain to take part in a special meeting to discuss the book, the concepts, and the evolution of the series. In-person gatherings are possible if you are in the Midwest and Louis is available. Otherwise, Zoom is always a choice.
