1. The Sorceresses’ proposal for a Spring-time meeting with their Sorcerer partners seems to hide their covert purpose—to meet the ‘Loving Relationship’ requirement to practice Sorcery. Is this justified?
2. Asullus argues that Thaddeus, only 15 and still at school, is in no way prepared to be a father to an infant child and should be satisfied that others will raise his son. Is this acceptable?
3. Upon reading Ethne’s Farewell Letter, Thaddeus immediately sets out to travel to her without regard to planning or provisions but with the knowledge that she is likely dead by this time. This seems both dangerous and irrational. Is it?
4. On his trip south, Thaddeus has relations with both Mari, the Dragon-Queen and Luperca, the Wolf-Goddess. He eventually confesses all of his four prior trysts to Marsia. She is quick to attribute his behavior to a need to fulfill the Prophecy. Is this warranted?
5. By the middle of the book, it is clear that all eight Sorcery Apprentices have intimately partnered. Though all are at least fifteen years old or older, she any have delayed their joining?
6. Is the violence done to Sonnia at the hands of the Goblins out of character with the rest of the Story?
7. When Thaddeus loses all Sorcerous Belief, he can no longer perceive magical creatures, and sees in others only what is real. How can he still speak with Sorcerers or be injured by what he cannot detect?
8. Following the defeat of the Daemon, Lilyput’s life-ending trauma is readily reversed. How is this possible?
9. The ‘Universal Stone Spell’ affects all with the land of the Collegium Sorcerorum, yet how do Brother Long Bone and the Gargoyles survive?

10. Was Thaddeus wise to trust Mayor Pilot of Vexare with the knowledge of the Dragon’s Treasure? Is it likely the politician will keep his word?
